Christine Ann is a classic trawler style twelve metre (40 feet) custom designed timber vessel, purpose built as a charter boat and side net hauler. She was built by the Bull Brothers in Corrimal, New South Wales. As part of her early life, she served as a shark netting vessel off the coast of Sydney. The vessel is in the full New South Wales Government's survey as a Class 1C and 1D passenger carrying vessel and is fully insured for your protection. |

The actual species we will target will vary from day to day and will to a great extent be dependent upon the time of the year and the prevailing conditions on the day. We tend to target Morwong (deep sea Bream) and Snapper most times of the year. Leatherjackets and Pigfish (a horrible name but a beautiful fish to eat) are often caught as are Mulloway, Grouper, Shark and Dolphinfish. |

|
The method of fishing when targeting these bottom dwelling species is to use a 'deck winch' which is a large reel that attaches to the boat's railings and is operated by one hand for retrieval.

Decks can become very slippery when they are wet. It is advisable to wear sensible non-slip shoes such as joggers to prevent any injuries occurring. Some people prefer to wear gumboots and overalls to protect their clothing as well as themselves. There will always be loose hooks lying about so be careful. It is not only the cooler months that may find you wearing warmer clothing, summer mornings are quite crisp. |
